These truss rods are made from Plain carbon steel and wrapped in heat shrink plastic. They are TIG welded for maximum strength and minimum distortion. They are single acting meaning that the tension in the neck can be adjusted in one direction only, apposed to the tension of the strings. Stock is held in “almost complete” items and they can be finished in any length desired up to 500mm total length. Please let me know your required length when ordering. Please add this to the “order notes” at Checkout or email me separately if you wish. If you do not send me a length you will get a default truss rod of 420mm length.
The length is total length including the cylindrical socket nut. this measures 25mm in length and 8mm in diameter. please take account of this when ordering. The body of the truss rod is made from one piece of shaped flat steel and one cylindrical bar and when wrapped it measures 6mm wide and 9mm deep.
